Instagram stories are a powerful place on Instagram, especially when it comes to building connections and making sales for your business. So when the views drop, it’s pretty fucking annoying. 🤷‍♀️

✋ TAKE A BREAK – Ideally for 24 hours, or just let your stories time out.

👋 SHOW YOUR FACE – For your first story back after your break, show your face and make your story engaging. For example, ask an INTERESTING question and use the poll sticker. 🤩 GIVE VALUE – For your second story, give your audience something really valuable on your stories to snap them back into attention. This could be a quick tip, mini training, tutorial or a personal story.

If you want your stories to stand out and want to keep your audience engaged, here are some further tips. I see these mistakes being made all the time on stories.

• Use captions! 70% of people watch stories with no sound, so if you’re not captioning your stories all they’re watching is your mouth moving.
• Use text also. People like to consume content in different ways, so do a synopsis of what you’re talking about with your text.
• Make sure your text is easy to read. I recommend switching up the colours on your stories to snap people back into attention.
